What really matters with Tesla mats
- Fit instead of universal mats. A model-specifically cut mat also covers the edges and recesses. Universal mats slip and leave gaps through which water reaches the carpet.
- Raised edge. The raised edge keeps meltwater and slush inside the mat. This is the most important difference in winter.
- TPE instead of PVC. TPE mats are easy to wash off. The exact material properties are on the respective product page.
- Don't forget the frunk. The front trunk collects charging cable dirt. A suitable frunk mat protects exactly the trough where moisture accumulates.

Special case: dogs and large cargo areas (Model Y)
